Chicken Butter Masala: Homemade Recipe
Some dishes are so famous that they become legendary. For example, butter chicken was invented so that the Britishers could enjoy the Indian chicken curry with having their tongues burned with spices. Similar, chicken butter masala recipe is another adaptation of the same recipe that is more adaptable to the Indian palate.
We use butter to this Indian chicken curry. However, it is not sweet or less spicy like butter chicken. It takes the flavour of butter but is medium spicy. Chicken butter masala is ideal for those who want to enjoy medium spicy food. You can certainly try making this Indian chicken recipe at home because it is very basic.
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Oil- 4 Tbsp
Butter- 100 grams
Ginger garlic paste- 2tsp
Tomatoes- 4 (pureed)
Red chilli powder- 1tsp
Turmeric powder- 1tsp
Kasturi methi- 4tbsp
Fresh cream- 1 cup
Ginger- 1 piece
Salt- to taste
Saute on a low flame for 4-5 minutes.
When the chicken turns golden brown in colour, add the butter. Then, add blended tomatoes.
Mix it and cook for 4-5 minutes on a low flame.
Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and keep stirring till oil separates.
Sprinkle kasturi methi from the top. Slowly add fresh cream.
Add ginger slices and cover with a lid for few minutes.
You serve chicken butter masala hot with rice or rotis.
